What is Right or Wrong?
What’s right? What’s wrong? How do you know that the wrong is
right and right is wrong? Right and wrong might be explained in dictionary in
simple terms but in real life, it takes us ages to know what is right and what
is wrong.

What you think is right but for me that can be wrong. ‘Nature
& Nurture’ is what separate us in our thoughts. However, our definition of
right & wrong is beyond this. It is formed, molded, developed and changed
by everything small or big thing happening in our life. Tiniest part of our
daily life affects our definition. Hence, what I think right today can also be
wrong tomorrow.

Now question comes, if it’s so uncertain and fluctuating, does it
this definition matter to anybody? Or even to us? Simple answer is yes, it does!
If we don’t differentiate between rights or wrongs we will keep on doing what’s
in our mind. The necessity of creation of gods, idols, rules, regulations is so
that we, human being, does not run around like headless chicken. Again, this
doesn’t mean we follow them blindly. A rational and sound mind will evaluate
each action, look at their consequences and then will differentiate as right or
wrong. Example: You don’t eat non-vegetarian food because your parents told you
so or eat because your friends are eating!

A balance in life is must! It comes from experience, by keeping an
open mind to see and understand surroundings. As someone said, “Every action
has some or the other reaction”. Even if you think your action was right, you
may receive wrong reaction. Even if your action was innocent, people will take
it as an offensive. In the end, it’s upto you, how you want to take it
forward.
There is no strong definition. Nevertheless, it should also not
get affected by small matters, frustration or by people’s comment. Similarly, a
stubborn mind will not bring a new perspective. A thin line, Silver lining
which differentiates everything in life, it also shapes our standpoint.

Believe in yourself; believe in people, you might get surprise to
see the result. Clear definition might be difficult but separating right
definition from wrong one is your mind’s work. I may be wrong; I may be right,
make your own choice and create your own definition!
