Don’t hold the dream tight, just chase it!
When I was child I dreamt of being Airhostess. When I was in college, I dreamt of being Fashion Designer. When I did my post graduation, I dreamt of being Brand Manager. Almost 4 year after my post graduation and I am jobless sitting at home thinking, ‘What was wrong with my dream that it never got fulfilled?’

Very vague dream everyone have in life is to earn money, lot of it. Well! It is not a dream, it is a want. So if this is want then what is the dream? Dream is a cherished desire, a desire to be something you are not currently. So earning money is not dream. Dream can be to be greatest artist selling platinum records or writer who published 50000 copies or businessman which in turn will make you earn lot of money. I always believed that you should chase your dream and do everything to make it true. At every point in life, you will get different opportunities, some might lead you to your dream and some may not. Don’t miss on any opportunities; a chance to make your dream come true, for the pursuit of something else which you feel is better than the chance.
Coming back to my question, what was wrong with my dream (despite the fact that it kept on changing with more education). Why I never achieved my dream when i put my heart and soul into it? The answer lies in my favourite dialogue from movie, “Don’t hold the sand tight in your hand, it will slip away. Keep your palm open and sand will stay.” (Though the dialogue was in some other context, it suits well with dream). Don’t hold your dream to tight that it slips away. Just imagine that dream is like a bubble and you have to chase it. Remember our childhood times when we used to chase after bubbles. A time where there are many soap water bubbles comes out of blower and we used to chase one from many.

Take opportunity as they come and be obsessed to horn your skill and take as much knowledge as possible. Be child again and enjoy the chase for your dream!
